Batch 3 evidence update
Are all Yono apps made by the same developer?
Direct answer: No. Similar “Yono”, “Rummy”, “777” or colour branding does not prove common ownership. Treat two apps as separate until stronger signals match: package identity, signing certificate, developer/operator name, source domain, privacy-policy entity and support details. Android’s signing model makes certificate continuity an important update/identity signal.

Which identity signals matter most?
- Exact Android package name and signing certificate/fingerprint.
- Developer or legal-operator name shown by a credible source.
- Official domain, privacy policy and support contact that consistently name the same entity.
- Version/update history tied to the same package, not merely the same icon.
What is not proof of common ownership?
A shared word, similar green/red colour, copied icon, forwarded APK filename, Telegram message or one payment screenshot is not enough. Keep the evidence status “unverified” when stronger identity fields are missing.
Safe verification steps
- Write down the exact app name and source URL.
- Record the package name from the installed app/file when available.
- Compare developer, privacy entity and support details.
- Compare signing identity if you have a legitimate technical record.
- Do not transfer safety or withdrawal claims from a similarly named app.
When should you stop?
Stop entering credentials if a same-name app suddenly asks for an OTP, banking PIN or private “unlock” payment. If money or credentials may have been exposed, contact the bank/payment provider promptly and use India’s official National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal; the portal lists helpline 1930 for cyber financial fraud.
